Project E - Trailer: Genre & Multi-modal Text

Film genre is a concept that involves a process of categorisation and labelling of easily recognisable conventions that exist in any particular set of films.
It is used by both film producing and distributing institutions and audiences. Dudley Andrew see's a trailer as a contract between audiences.

Multi-modal texts are the way that trailers communicate with the audience. These ways are:
  1. Written Text on screen
  2. Spoken Language
  3. Moving Images
  4. Sound Effects
  5. Music
